Last month, Sudan conducted a #polio campaign in the Red Sea State to respond to recent poliovirus detections. Sustaining this momentum for the next 2 rounds of campaigns, expanded to 8 states, is key to keeping vulnerable children, including those on the move, safe from polio.

Paralympian Anne Wafula Strike knows first hand the lifelong effects of polio. After contracting polio as a child, she overcame prejudice, lack of accessibility, and more to become a mother, athlete, advocate, and ambassador for #EndPolio .

So far, the WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean Region has delivered over 50 million nOPV2 vaccines to children.
