1. All providers get a daily vanco ration. If you run out, you have to borrow from other provider, they have to agree w/ you and give you one of theirs

2. Board w/ # quinolone Rx by name

Hot take:

Hypotensive AF, already fluid resusc'd. If reaching for amio (or failed amio) I use phenylephrine gtt's all the time (EF ≥ HFmrEF)

It either:
1. Fixes the situation (Seen both rate control & cardioversion)
2. Gives BP for cardioversion
3. Does nothing, doesn't harm

It’s a good day to talk about poison

#Pediatric #pharmacists . Do you ever put rivastigmine patches on kiddos and if so what size/indication?

After nearly 8 years of honing the finer points of an 8/80 schedule. We are switching to a 8 hour schedule.

5 days a week. One weekend a month (instead of two).

Beyond the time loss from driving into work more, any big differences noted by those who have made the switch?

Getting a shout out in the poison review is definitely a career goal.

Love to see a silly study done as a passion project that I thought no one would read start to resonate.

Back home after an energizing #NACCT2023 !

Grateful for the extra wins this year, FAACT and a Research award 🏆

But what I really ❤️ about this is conf is the energy you get from meeting others just as passionate to work together and change how we treat poisoning. Invigorating!
