Last week officers from #StanwayRPU stopped this motorcycle in the area of #MarksTey . Officers discovered that the rider didn't have the correct driving licence, wasn't insured and its road tax expired over a year ago. The rider was reported and bike seized. #RoadSafety

On Sun 31 March, our Road Crime Team patrolled the county’s roads to tackle road-related crime & ensure road safety for all. They arrested 7 for a variety of offences - fraud, theft of vehicle, drugs - and 3 drink drivers & 1 drug driver. They recovered 2 stolen vehicles.

On Sunday officers from #StanwayRPU attended the Festival of Transport at the Museum of Power in #Langford . We supported Maldon Town Team engaging with the public about the work of Roads Policing, Op Vision Zero and Road Safety.

Our Commercial Vehicle Unit (CVU) have acquired a new camera that will help them identify offenders and capture evidence of offences being committed on our roads, making it easier to prosecute those committing road-related offences.

Yesterday, our Roads Policing Officers conducted speed checks, #M11 #Loughton as part of #VisionZero , our ambition to stop road deaths by 2040 or sooner. Despite the the bad weather and spray affecting visibility, we recorded 18 drivers at speeds between 90-108mph (Sun 17 March).

Officers from #StanwayRPU stopped this Mini for a speeding offence in #Uttlesford . The driver was uninsured, meaning the vehicle was seized and now faces nine penalty points being added to their driving licence. We are working to reduce uninsured drivers on the roads of Essex.

On Sunday officers from #StanwayRPU stopped this truck and trailer which had been involved in the theft of a mini digger from #Tendring district. Recovered within an hour of it being stolen. Supported by officers from #ChigwellRPU , Essex Police in Chelmsford District and Essex Police Dog Section

Roads policing officers from #Chigwell and #Stanway located an Audi A3 stolen at gunpoint on the #A13 . The vehicle was also involved in a recent theft of a Range Rover. The vehicle failed to stop and was pursued into the Metropolitan Police. 2 suspects arrested, vehicle recovered. C1

Team were out in Thurrock yesterday.

We came across this van being driven with no insurance, driver has been reported and issued a £300 fine and 6 penalty points.
