The GMC is now consulting on how its regulation of PAs and AAs will work.

Doctors are ready to accept a credible offer that begins pay restoration and stops the exodus, but we will strike as long as is necessary - for ourselves, our service, and our patients.

Really pleased to speak at Irish Medical Organisation AGM panel discussion “Valuing Patients by Valuing doctors” on The BMA concerns about expansion of Physicians Associates. Important that scope of practice defined and clarity provided so patients know when they are not seeing a doctor.

A huge thank you to every consultant that gave us a mandate and took action. You have achieved a great starting point towards pay restoration. All eyes on the DDRB now. Consultants will not accept pay erosion ever again. We expect to see our pay restored going forwards.

Can only echo this. Was already expecting it to be amazing due to the contributors involved but it defied my expectations. A must watch!

South Asians in Britain have a rich and proud tradition of political activism. Important that we document it and, crucially, learn from it.

UPDATE:

Yesterday management at Kettering reversed their controversial decision to cut rates for doctors in response to 100 doctors cancelling their shifts.

This was only possible due to the unity of grassroots doctors.
