And I, ESA Integral, importantly, detected the gamma-ray signal as well, from the two colliding neutron stars quoted below 🤩
That is not at all a shabby place to end up, together with ESA Gaia , ESA Integral, and ESA XMM-Newton ! Welcome!!!!

ESA Integral Thanks to INTEGRAL, scientists continue to unravel the mysteries of the gamma-ray universe, exploring the extreme cosmic forces that shape our existence. It reminds us that there's so much more to discover beyond the visible light, inviting us to explore the unknown. 🔭✨

ESA Integral INTEGRAL's observations also shed light on the mysterious regions near black holes, where matter spirals in and immense amounts of energy are released. These insights contribute to our understanding of gravity, the fabric of spacetime. ⚫️🌌

The colliding neutron stars we detected in August 2017 had actually collided 130 million years earlier. The light and gravitational waves detected by our satellites, LIGO, EGO & the Virgo Collaboration, and ESA Integral had traveled together since the time Iguanodon roamed Earth. #DinosaurDay
🌊 #BlackHoles are observable through the #GravitationalWaves they generate during a collision. Future #LISAmission will open up new detection domains and enable the discovery of many more 🕳️🔄🕳️

ESA Integral is looking forward to O4 and ready to observe high-energy electromagnetic radiation to any of the Gravitational Wave events!
I saw many of the gamma-rays of this burst. Also, like ESA XMM-Newton, I look frequently at black holes, big and small! #BlackHole Week #BlackHole
This week we are celebrating #BlackHoleWeek with some massive 🕳️ science highlights from the past year.
🤔 But what exactly are black holes?

Ok folks tonight is the potentially the main event for the Event Horizon 'Scope campaign as far as I am concerned! If weather holds up we'll be looking again at our Milky Way's #BlackHole , this time with extra help from Chandra Observatory, NASA Webb Telescope, NuSTAR_Science and ESA Integral!

🛡️ Safe mode activated! 🛡️
Usually that’s not a sign to celebrate. But for the ESA Integral operations team, the first activation of their creative new safe mode marks the culmination of years of work and two recent near-death experiences: esa.int/Enabling_Suppo…
