The fact that people insist 'This is the most important election ever!' every four years paradoxically suggests that the elections aren't that important after all.

I had a lively discussion with Trent Horn about liberal Catholicism and its errors. In fact, I think it's the first time I've ever seen Trent really get fired up. Check it out!

Today is the Feast of St. Mark, which is the Major Rogation Day. It's a tradition to say the Greater Litanies in procession around your property, to draw down God's blessing on the fruits of the earth. Here is the one we use:

The people at Catholic Answers are good people, and a sign of being a good person is listening and responding to legitimate criticism, as they are here.

I still have concerns with the Catholic Answers AI app, but I'm happy to see they decided to change the 'Father Justin' character.

For decades the 'New Evangelization' has meant, 'Let's do things exactly like the (corrupt) world does them, but with a Catholic face.' And millions continue to leave the Church. Perhaps we should instead do things radically different...perhaps an Old Evangelization?

All the programs and conferences and revivals to promote the Eucharist are worthless as long as this man is allowed to receive Holy Communion.

If this is really the case, then Catholic Answers needs to shut down 'Fr. Justin' immediately. Simulating a sacrament is a serious offense, and can cause spiritual harm to souls who might not understand this is not a valid sacrament.

The problem with Father Bot:

First off, this would be way more fun if CA had an 'Choose your avatar' feature here. In fact I am waiting for the Catholic Digital Creatives to get on that right away.

So. It's interesting that CA read the room so poorly, as this rollout received…

There are only three ways you could think Hitler was a Christian in any practicing sense (i.e., beyond being baptized):

1) You have zero understanding of Christianity.
2) You have zero understanding of Hitler.
3) You have zero understanding.

Catholic Answers (Catholic Answers) has a new apologetics AI interactive app, 'Fr. Justin.' It's impressive, yet I can’t help but think that there’s deeper issues here, ones that threaten to undermine a Catholic incarnational understanding of the world.

Join me in 15 minutes as I discuss What's Wrong With Conservatism, Inc. and why Catholics need to distance themselves from the movement.

Join me today at 2pm ET as I talk about the problems in Conservatism, Inc: the implosion of the Daily Wire, Speaker Johnson's prioritizing the Ukraine border over the American border, playing identity politics when it comes to Israel, and much more.

Arguing that dropping atomic bombs on Japan (i.e., killing innocent people) was justified because it prevented greater evils is literally the same moral argument often used to justify abortion.

Would conservatives defend abortion if the scalpel had an American flag on it?

Praise God for His mercy!

(And note to my fellow Catholics: don't look to Owens as an expert on Catholicism nor condemn her for any misstep she might make in understanding/proclaiming Catholicism.)

Today in response to Jeremy Boreing saying that anyone who thinks it was Evil to drop the bomb hates America I went back and found an older segment where a Catholic Moral philosopher, Alex Plato, breaks down Elizabeth Anscombe's thought and argument for why the A-Bomb is…

'War is evil' is used to excuse committing any evils within it. Not so: fighting a war can be moral, while every action within a war is open to moral judgement.

Killing a charging soldier is not immoral. Intentionally killing a civilian is, even if the overall cause is just.
