As climate change intensifies, one Guna Indigenous community in Panama has been requesting relocation support to the mainland.

But the government has yet to make adequate water, sanitation, and health care available at the relocation site.

Gardi Sugdub is one of many coastal communities in Panama facing #risingseas and overcrowding. The Panamian govt. must follow through on their promises and develop a policy to protect people's rights in future community-led planned relocations. hrw.org/news/2024/02/2…
