Yesterday welcomed the 5th cohort of our #YoungCitizenTrainingPorgramm . We're excited to spend the upcoming month with this diverse and engaged group. After the opening with partners and alumni we directly jumped into our first topic: #GenderJustice and #Intersectionality .

I strongly support the proposed policy recommendations that aim to improve their well-being through better #wages safer working environments, and a focus on women's rights within the sector. These changes are crucial to achieving decent work standards in the Rwandan tea industry.

As a trade union member, I attended the Validation Workshop on Policy Recommendations for Tea Workers' Living and Working Conditions held at Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung Rwanda. The event highlighted the challenges faced by tea workers, particularly low wages and poor working conditions.
