Our nest camera project is winding down now that chicks are on the move. At this time of year, we’re always reminded that while eggs are easy to monitor, chicks are much harder. A good hatch is all very well, but it doesn’t count for much unless young birds grow into adults!

This #Curlew chick was found 'in distress'.
You can zoom in to count the number of chicks around base of bill and under the eye.
