Data released by the EIA shows Crude Oil production growth took a hit due to Hurricane Ida. As of Sep. 10th, Baker Hughes noted 13 rigs in the Gulf were nonoperational due to evacuations. Oil production is expected to recover (shown in purple) as these rigs begin to repopulate.

Hurricane Ida forced Oil companies to shut down 95.65% of Gulf production on the 27th (blue) before its landfall on Sunday (yellow). We will see the reverberations from the hurricane in the data posted in the weeks ahead.
