Each GAHS student had a chance to tour our Mini Job, Career, and Summer Enrichment Fair today during all lunches. The purpose of this fair is to provide students with employment, career, volunteer, & summer enrichment opportunities.

Learning firsthand today in Ms. Farmer's African American History class: Ms. Joyce Jefferson shared the tough times when schools shut down in 1959 instead of integrating in Prince Edward County, VA. Her story hits hard, reminding us all why education and equality matter.

YAY PAULA YOUNG-HAUGH! our ASL interpreter at Glen Allen High School, is today's 'Yay of the Day' honoree! Superintendent Amy Cashwell honored her recently while she was at the ACE Center at Hermitage with one of her students.

Research presentations on gender roles in culture were attended by guests from our community. Thanks to Ms. Neagle's AP juniors for sharing their learning and understanding.

GAHS students had an opportunity to sign up to create home made Valentine's Day cards in the library during lunches last week. This was a collaborative effort between our Art department/Ms. Harnsberger, and our library, with Ms. DeMarco. The library was full & so were our hearts!

Happy National School Counselor’s Week! Today we are celebrating Ms. Martella! Thanks so much for all you do for our students! Ms. Martella knows well that high school is the final transition into adulthood, postsecondary education and the world of work. She stands ready to help.
