Early this morning Gardaí in Kilmainham, Dublin 8, using the TruSpeed camera, clocked nine speeding offences in a 60 km/h zone with some drivers doing between 75 km/h to 99 km/h.

Blanchardstown Roads Policing were keeping an eye out for anti-social activity at car cruises.

🛑Four vehicles were seized for having no insurance or tax.

🛑One driver has had 10 vehicles seized since 2009 for various offences.

Bridewell Gardaí came across this poorly parked car causing an obstruction in Stoneybatter.

When they spoke with the driver it transpired that they had been disqualified.

The car itself was uninsured, untaxed and had no NCT.

Traffic Update: The N4 at Junction 14 is closed due to a road traffic incident.

Motorists are advised to find an alternative route.

While conducting a checkpoint near Roundwood Co. Wicklow this afternoon, we stopped this car - the driver had no insurance.

But what's more, none of the three rear seat passengers were wearing seatbelts.

All five occupants have been fined, and the car seized.

Our Commercial Vehicle Unit seized this lorry at Dublin Port which has not been taxed since it was imported into Ireland.

You can only drive a lorry professionally when you have a valid driver CPC card - he didn't have one.

Neither had he a haulage licence.

A fake insurance disc is one thing.

A false insurance cert like this one presented to Naas Gardaí is another thing altogether - that means you go from a road traffic offence to a possible fraud charge.

The Commercial Vehicle Unit carried out a multi-agency checkpoint with the RSA Ireland on the Con Colbert Road, Kilmainham recently.

During the course of the checkpoint, one vehicle was seized for having no insurance.

Traffic Update: There are road closures in place at Glenageary Road Upper, Mountown Road Lower and Kill Avenue in Dun Laoghaire due to a road traffic incident.

Diversions are in place.

Irishtown Gardaí stopped this car on the N11 in Dublin 4 after they spotted on their Mobility device that it hadn't been taxed for over a year and a half.

They then learned that the driver didn't have insurance or a valid NCT, and he had no driving licence either.

Cavan Gardaí stopped this car after seeing it being driven erratically near Breffni Park during yesterday's game.

The young man had no insurance, no tax or NCT and the roadside drug test lit up - positive for cocaine, cannabis, opiates, benzos and methamphetamines.

A number of lanes have now re-opened on the M50 and traffic is beginning to flow again.

The southbound road of the M50 has been closed between Junctions 7 and 9 following a traffic collision.

Delays are to be expected if travelling in this area.

While carrying out a checkpoint in Ballyforan, this driver was found to have no tax, insurance & NCT.

A further check found that the driver was a learner travelling alone.

All learner drivers must have a qualified driver accompanying them while getting to grips with the roads.

One of the many detections we made during our National #SlowDown Day was this car that our members detected at a speed of 95kph in a 50kph zone.
