Soon, students will have CONVERSATIONS with Aristotle, Socrates, or Plato rather than just reading about them.

This is how AI is REVOLUTIONIZING education.

I see people finishing their last day of med school.
Congratulations!
You're becoming a member of an ancient & honorable profession.
You'll never be a 'provider.'
That term was coined by govs & insurers wanting to decrease your input in the doctor-patient relationship
Fight them.

For clinicians, a medical event can be routine. For patients & their families, it rips a hole in their lives. It’s been 4 years since Dr. Glaucomflecken’s sudden cardiac arrest. That day, the ground fell out beneath us, & months of aftershocks followed, reshaping our landscape. 1/3

The doctor-patient relationship has been held as sacred for over 2,000 years.
In the US for over 30 years, it has been invaded almost at-will by corporations whose only concern is maximizing their profits.
The results have been catastrophic for patients and doctors alike.

I advise friends around the world not to do what the US has done, putting profit-driven mega-corporations in charge of most health care.
It has been an unmitigated disaster.

I know patients have scanxiety but so do oncologists. Every time I open a new scan report of a patient on surveillance, I hold my breath and leap with joy when I read “no findings of locally recurrent or metastatic disease”.

People can help you in many ways throughout life, but there are two things nobody can give you: curiosity and drive. They must be self-supplied.

If you are not interested and curious, all the information in the world can be at your fingertips, but it will be relatively useless.…

We can get caught in bad habits like negative self talk. Instead of letting these ANTs (automatic negative thoughts) take over, retrain your brain. Work to view the things in a different light + see the opportunity. Speak to yourself the way you would speak to a good friend.
