It needs to be ONGOING funding

Not just 12 months and then at the whim of yet another health secretary who has finances not people as a priority

This gives small breathing space alone- nothing more

Some sense has prevailed

There is no ‘backstory’ to ending of 2/care NHS Practitioner Health other than (we’re told) - no budget. To remind, it was established following suicide of a psychiatry who also killed her baby and highlighted the barriers doctors have in accessing mental health care.

Headlines for year end 2023 ⁦NHS Practitioner Health⁩ 22/24 figures still being collated but you get the drift. We are seeing more per month now than at peak of covid
