Fun day with Year 7s at Clyde Sec College today. It was Book Week dress-up day, so I wore my TARDIS jacket and brought along a DOCTOR WHO book. One of the Year 8s, who I would have presented to last year, gave me a finger puppet and asked if I could use it in my presentations. 😂

Fab afternoon at Good Shepherd Lutheran Primary School with the Grade 5 and 6 students. So enthusiastic!

Book Week continues on into another week for me. Had a fab time with the Grade 5/6 students at Westgrove Primary School today. They gave me a whole bunch of cards, drawings and letters at the end of the day. How cool is that!

One of the joys of being a children's author is when children choose your books for Book Week outfits. Here's to imaginative parents interstate (This is from Tasmania) & internationally who read to their families and who benefit from the fun of sharing books.Hippo is now 43!

Romanian and Vietnamese copies of THE HUMAN BODY SURVIVAL GUIDE arrived in the post. It is both exciting and surreal to see my book in other languages. There is also going to be a Chinese edition next year.

Today I was at Mill Park Primary School, talking to all the kids from Prep to Grade 6 over three sessions. And the school had a super fancy coffee machine in the staff room. ☕️☕️☕️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

This morning I attended a planting day at former Golf Driving Range in Sandringham, which is positioned over old landfill. Organised by the Friends of Native Wildlife, it’s all about creating a favourable environment for our native birds, specifically the Common Bronzewing Pigeon
