💯 This is an under appreciated point. Running a lab like a factory (what we call a foundry at @ginkgo) is totally different culturally than a typical biotech. Took us years to get it right.

When a software developer makes an app, they re-use basic code + tools to make something new.

That's codebase. And, in bio, it unlocks new products, esp given AI and automation. Watch to learn more.
