A very interesting morning in the Big Meadow with Phoebe O'Brien @grasslandsirl. It is rare in modern times to see a lowland grassland that hasn't been fertilised, ploughed or reseeded in living memory, as evidenced by multiple ant hills many over 100 years old #HeritageWeek2023
