15:14 HWFireEardisley HWFire Kingsland mobilised to electrical substation fire, fire involved 5sqm of tree and shrubs caused by hot oil from exploded transformed, #Weobley , fire extinguished with hose reel jet, thermal image camera used, incident handed over to @wpduk

Today we remember firefighters John Davies from HWFire Leominster and David Morris HWFire Hereford, who tragically lost their lives fighting the fire at Sun Valley, Hereford.

Our thoughts and condolences go out to their family and friends on this day.

At 1831 last night, our water carrier was mobilised to a fire in the open in the Westhope area.

With conditions still so dry, ‘controlled burns’ in the open like this doesn’t take long for it to get out of control and it isn’t advised.

Another busy day for our crew, sent to standby Wyre Forest Fire Station, whilst there we were sent to 2 shouts then we were released home. This glorious sunset was our treat on our way home.

A busy 24hrs for our crew this week. A long relief shift nr Knighton at a scrap heap fire with Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service, then in the following afternoon, us and HWFire Leominster were sent to a combine and standing crop on fire at West Hope.

A pump and the water carrier from station have been in attendance at a barn fire in Dilwyn today, alongside HWFire Kingsland, HWFireEardisley and HWFire Hereford

10:32 HWFire Leominster HWFire Kingsland HWFireEardisley HWFire Hereford HWFire Ledbury responded to a fire in farm buildings, near Dilwyn. 4 hose reel jets used.

Our water carrier has been out a lot this last week, in these hot and dry conditions. Today, a crew on 527 assisted with the water supply at another fire in the open with HWFire Kingsland, near Bush Bank.

A good working job assisting one of our large animal rescue teams from Bromyard Fire Station, a very successful result 🚒🚒🐎.
