The Town of Sheridan broke ground on the first phase of a two-part Monon Trail extension Friday. The extension is funded by a $2 million Next Level Trails grant as well as $195,000 from the H C P & R Board. The trail will eventually extend to the Hamilton/Boone county line.

Several members of the auditor's office recently attended the State Board of Accounts' State Called Meeting. Sadie Eldridge, Auditor Real Property Department Team Lead, represented Hamilton County as one of three panelists to lead a discussion on property tax deductions.

Congrats to the finalists at the Youth Service Awards presented by the Hamilton County Council on Alcohol & Other Drugs. The event recognizes students who are alcohol & drug free and make positive contributions to their community. Each student earned a $300 scholarship.

Congrats to Keegan Conner from @wwswhs for winning the Hamilton County Youth Service Awards. Keegan is a member of the Thespian Honor and National Honor Societies and a show choir dance captain. She is also currently Miss Indiana’s Teen. She will receive a $1,000 scholarship.
