Spent a happy half hour this morning watching and photographing Arctic Terns on Lockwood Reservoir - and when I stood up I flushed a Litte Ringed Plover which I managed to relocate (and snap) on the opposite bank

Stan Collymore So the non league side that have played their hearts out for 90 mins to earn a 1-1 ,now have to find the energy for another 30 minutes, lads who’ve probably been grafting doing proper work all week. This just gives clubs with million £’s players on the bench even more advantage

Once again:

(1) there was already an offence covering pet theft (the Theft Act 1968)
(2) that offence carries a *higher sentence* than the new one
(3) judges cannot legally treat theft of a cat like theft of a laptop
(4) no evidence more resources will now be given to pet theft

Henry, once again, the moral voice of football, calling out the rich and powerful who happily desecrate our game. Is this why The Times and The Sunday Times has shamefully terminated his contract?

RIP Replays. Another part of the game's great heritage sacrificed for the elite. A famous chapter of the scrapbook consigned to the scrapyard. Sad but inevitable. expanding and the show-me-the-money top clubs don't value the Cup as much, though many of their fans do.

So much for the festival and dance event monies being used to maintain the park… this is the situation on a busy weekend in spring: not *a single* open toilet. It’s shameful Haringey Council ContactHaringey Friends of Finsbury Park

On a balmy spring day at RSPB Rainham Marshes, Wood Warbler - the first for the site (and my first for London) - Sedge, Reed, Garden and Cetti’s Warblers, Chiffchaff, Blackcap and both Whitethroats were all on song. But for me the star of the show was this confiding Wheatear by the river
