Today in Comics History: The “Captain Easy” Sunday page, spun off from the daily “Wash Tubbs,” debuted 90 years ago, on July 30, 1933. (“Wash Tubbs” had been running since 1924.) Eventually, Roy Crane’s popular Easy took over entirely, and the daily was renamed “Captain Easy.”
