Everyone knew for years who the rapists and abusers were in San Francisco politics. Its not a secret its just a lot of high level politicians simply didnt care. These men secured endorsements, corralled voters and ran neighborhood groups, and that mattered more.

Whats notable about this Austin rent trend is that its coinciding with massive tech worker growth. Illustrating that it wasnt a given an in-migrarion of tech workers into San Francisco would lead to non stop rent spikes for 20 years.
