Late morning stroll soundtrack: this brilliant adaptation of Cymbeline. Shakespeare is so good on the radio because you concentrate on the wonderful language. ⁦I’ll be listening to more on future strolls.⁦BBC Radio 3⁩ ⁦BBC Sounds⁩ bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0…

Just finalising the last details on my new book! Due for release in Summer with the awesome @penteractpress

‘Small gestures of endurance’ is a volume of accumulated fragments, an archive of associations, an insolent but smitten reading of Virginia Woolf’s ‘To the Lighthouse’

Coffee & ciggie in the courtyard garden.
Big Tree's green brilliant against the blue.
Gulls float by like clouds.
Pigeon gently Coos.
Blackbird sings out loud.
No thoughts of yesterday or tomorrow.
Just the here. Just the now.
Just the now.

On the easel..

Work in progress - oils on cradled panel, 50cm sq.

Note to self - when choosing a subject for coloured underpainting, avoid complex shapes..

Increasingly convinced there was a prelapsarian Tower of Babel moment where everyone used the same plug, but people angered the god of electricity and now we have this

Ian McMillan Ah, I slurp* first to check temperature.
If below blister level I then gulp.
Only if above I sip until gulpable.
If impatient I occasionally blow and sip.

[*Slurp also used by tea tasters to maximise flavour detection.]

If above blister level, don't dunk - too risky.
