We recently led a training course on human trafficking for officers from West Africa, where we focused on building bridges between specialized units.

Last week, the INTERPOL NCBs in 🇸🇱 and 🇬🇳 worked together to rescue 5 children & arrest a suspected trafficker.

Côte d’Ivoire 🇨🇮 Last week HTSM wrapped up a series of 5 specialized training on THB. Judiciary and law enforcement again brought together to enhance their capacity to fight this crime. Sessions were also led by local certified trainers from phase I of THB West Africa Project 🚨

This week INTERPOL supported human trafficking investigations with Colombia 🇨🇴 and France 🇫🇷 working together to dismantle a transnational criminal organization. International cooperation 🌎 is key to fight the concerning exploitation of Latin American women in Europe.

This week we kick started Phase II of the THB West Africa project in Senegal 🇸🇳 with the first specialized training on THB. LEAs and judiciary representatives learned more about this crime and how INTERPOL can support them in their investigations

🚨 Great collaboration today between INTERPOL HTSM unit and NAPTIP that in coordination with law enforcement in Mali and Guinea have been able to rescue 2 Nigerian girls victims of sexual exploitation in Guinea. The main suspect has been arrested 🇳🇬🇲🇱🇬🇳

So far, INTERPOL’s four Turquesa operations have led to nearly 800 arrests, the identification of thousands of victims, and 270 new investigations.
This project will see stronger cooperation with the UNODC to safeguard vulnerable communities together.
