I am saddened to hear of the death of former @IPUParliament President Ahmed Fathi Sorour.

Dr Sorour was President from 1994-1997, a critical period for the  #IPU .

My condolences go out to his family, friends and colleagues.

It is with shock and sadness that I learnt of the deaths and injuries following the attack at a concert near #Moscow this evening. I strongly condemn any violence that targets innocent people. My deepest condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones and all impacted.
