General PSA: if someone you know has a serious and poorly understood disease, a very polite thing you can do is take an interest in learning the basics of their illness. This shows you care, and also reduces the chances you’ll say something hurtful out of ignorance.

What are the odds that a home finger prick blood test lancet tip broke off in my finger?…
3 weeks and it still feels like I have a splinter. Didn’t heal as fast as the other finger, and more swelling too 😕

So are steviol glycosides safe or what?

Can’t have milk so switched to coconut kefir. But it’s thickened with a preposterous qty of tapioca starch = empty carbs. The other option is water kefir, but most have many grams of sugar. Apart from the brand using steviol glycosides…

what's the most likely explanation for this disaster (raised follicle stimulating hormone and luteinising hormone, and reduced oestradiol)? did čõvid accelerate me towards menopause? 😥

The death of Prof Amit Patel in the UK highlights a frightening problem in medicine. One that disabled and marginalized individuals have been screaming about for years. Doctors don’t always listen to the patient - sometimes with catastrophic consequences. 🧵 /1

Not sure I can listen to much more of this. We’re only a few minutes in, but this psychiatrist has already claimed that the viral part of the pandemic is over, the death toll was massively overstated (and that was very intentional!…), and lockdowns lasted over a year.

Had a bit of a fright thinking that jumping up to the loading dose of Prodrome Glia had produced an adverse reaction. Turned out swapping out the coconut oil in my bulletproof coffee for 4 tsp MCT oil caused my agitation, anxiety, dread and dissociation! Awful! Do not recommend!

The excerpts of Matthew Parris’ article in this thread contain arguments for euthanasia promoted by the Nazi Party and their membership, who were disproportionately doctors.

It describes exactly why Starmer and senior Tories want to legalise it, during a mass-disabling pandemic.

'I feel like I’m going to die”. These were the haunting words of 18-year-old Millie McAinsh, wrongly sectioned and left without care in an NHS hospital.' With grateful thanks to Laura Elliott for this excellent article in Byline Times

All this requires further investigation. The injustices done to patients with ME/CFS are compound and multiple. It's not just individual clinicians in the frame, but universities and departments, insurance companies, government and media. Great wrongs have been done.

I vacillate between ‘is it possible to die of unfulfilled potential? I think my life force is slowly draining from wasted potential. I must learn and grow or expire’ and ‘I am clearly far too sick to maintain even a 30-minutes-per-day language study schedule.’

'There is a psychological intervention that could improve the lives of people with ME/CFS: an apology and recognition of the harms they have suffered.'

Thank you for speaking out George Monbiot 🙌

Kudos to M. and S. Shaw for this find: Walitt is head of NINDS Interoceptive Disorders Unit. His focus: disorders characterized by aversive Sx after exposures, e.g. infections. Translation: the new & improved version of “false illness beliefs.” NIH unleashed him on ME, GWI, & LC pts.
