4 in 10 council homes have been flogged off to private landlords under right to buy.

The fire sale of council housing leaves the public paying more and leaves more and more people living in expensive, insecure and poor-quality homes.

Time to end this failed policy.

When Junior Doctors are on £16 an hour and MP's are on £46 an hour.

And raising the Junior Doctors pay by £4 an hour is unaffordable, even though they just raised MP's pay by £5 an hour.

It's hard not to see the lie.

RT if Junior Doctors NEED paying.

'Or more accurately, the powers that be have absolutely no idea of our purpose and more importantly, what our purpose should be. The entire criminal justice system needs an evidence-based rethink. (PO for 22 years).' 5/5

'Surely they should be asking ''how have you achieved a situation where you have prison spaces available?'. As a result of many things (TR etc) we have lost our core identity.' 4/5

'The UK used to be at the forefront of rehabilitation and contemporary practice. But now we have a society which seems to have no interest in this. I read that our government are considering renting prison space from other countries.' 3/5

'Surely our society isn't more 'criminal' than our neighbours. We have a culture which seems to want offenders to suffer and be punished, despite research showing that punitive measures usually don't work, and that prison often increases recidivism.' 2/5

'We are long overdue a rethink about the purpose of prison. We have the highest prison population in Western Europe per capita. And politicians want to add to this estate!? It's uncomfortable for society to consider the reasons for this.' 1/5

Not one but two juvenile lifers coming home next week. People ask how I do this work but these moments are how. First chances, families being reunited. I do it because when these days come it’s pure ❤️
