Several teams said the did not want to part with the 23rd overall pick in any trade-up. By moving up just one spot, they preserve that pick, freeing them up for a defensive player later in the first.

One name that came up a lot today in cross-referencing with scouts: Cooper DeJean. Considered a very safe pick in the first round. Minimal risk.

The DB run might start around the mid-teens.
