Unsurprising why the Tories wanted First past the Post for the PCC and mayoral elections; it’s so far saved them in most of the PCC areas they’ve held, including Leicestershire where they won by less than 1,000 votes.

Avon & Somerset PCC won by Labour’s Clare Moody, gained from Conservatives.
I voted tactically for her - she was an MEP for the south west and a decent one at that, so I’m pleased she managed to cross the line.

Another bit of good news; Mendip South by-election of Somerset Council - traditionally a safe Tory seat - was held by the LibDems against former Tory Leader of Somerset County Council.
