If you're not anti-capitalist, anti-racist, anticolonial, and anti-patriarchal, simply saying you're decolonizing something won't make a difference for those on the receiving end of these deeply entangled systems of domination and exploitation.

I just read 'The Jargon of Decoloniality' by Neil Larsen. He critiques Mignolo as a means to invalidate everything about decolonial theory. For him, decolonial thought, 'despite its more sinister & openly reactionary dimension...readily invites parody and laughter.'

Our colossal task.

All the scholars who blocked, gave poor reviews or deplatformed decolonial, race & Indigenous scholarship are now race, Indigenous or decolonial scholars. They are giving lectures, applying for grants, posts & resources that they have gatekept out of the academy.

For those from the global south or countries that face extreme natural disasters, does tourism help your country recover? For me personally, speaking from my lived experiences & communities, tourism doesn't help, it actually harms us more especially after a natural disaster.

Eurocentric academic philosophers in the Global North can continue being 'unimpressed' with everything written from Latin America & the Caribbean that refers to (de)coloniality. The Souths of the Global South will continue advancing thought & praxis in spite of them.
