Illegal migration is a global challenge. But we are not tackling it alone.

Our close partnership with France is delivering results.

Around 7,000 illegal and deadly Channel crossing attempts have been stopped since the start of this year.

Today, I’m releasing analysis by independent civil servants at the Treasury on Labour’s plans for office.

That shows a £38 billion black hole in their plans, which can only be fixed by further tax rises - the equivalent of £2100 per family.

4,500 new officers across the country are now specially trained in investigating rape because of Operation Soteria.

There is much further to go, but we are seeing progress.

I implore anyone who has been a victim of rape to come forward, to get support, and get justice.

Labour admit that their new policy would cost taxpayers £20 billion - more than double what they promised.

They can’t say which taxes they’d raise to pay for it because they don’t have a plan.

Dangerous cyclists who kill or seriously injure others should face the same penalties as other road users.

Today I have agreed a way forward to ensure the Criminal Justice Bill contains powers to hold irresponsible cyclists to account, paving the way for even safer streets.(1/4)

We’re taking action to get knives off the streets and keep people safe.

Since 2019 we’ve taken over 138,000 dangerous weapons off the streets.

Today, we’re going further, investing £3.5m in new knife detection technology.

This week we have detained failed asylum seekers to be removed to Rwanda.

These people have been through the asylum system and have no right to remain in the UK.

Our deal with Rwanda provides a safe third country to remove them to.
