Whipps Cross Hospital has served families living in the west of Redbridge for generations, the Victorian buildings are now crumbling and not fit for purpose.

It is time the Government kept their promise and delivered our new Hospital.

Following the shocking incident in Ilford yesterday I have written to the Metropolitan Police Commissioner.

Government cuts have decimated policing - in Redbridge we need more Police on our streets, action on gangs & a fairer system to get the Police resources we need & deserve.

Following the shocking and tragic incident earlier today I have been in touch with the Deputy Borough Commander and Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan and requested an additional police presence in Redbridge.

My thoughts are with all those affected by this senseless crime.

Today Rishi Sunak has made history.

Although we are miles apart politically, we share a proud Punjabi heritage, our parents both moved to England to build better lives for their families.

Today I am thinking of our parents and what this would mean to them.
