With Bears waiting at No. 9 hoping for Rome Odunze, GM Ryan Poles seemed genuinely thrown by Falcons taking QB Michael Penix Jr. at No. 8. Bears used a lot of analytical tools, but Poles said they did not forecast that selection: 'No, [but] I'm just happy it worked out that way.'
