Today, my administration took a major step to reclassify marijuana from a Schedule I drug to a Schedule III drug.

It’s an important move toward reversing longstanding inequities.

Republicans want to slash taxes for the ultra-wealthy and big corporations and raise taxes for middle class families.

They want to protect Big Pharma and undermine workers and seniors by slashing Social Security and Medicare.

Not on my watch.

Too many lives have been upended because of our failed approach to marijuana.

So today, the U.S. Department of Justice is taking the next step to reclassify marijuana from a Schedule I to a Schedule III drug under federal law.

Here's what that means:

Good one, Donald.

Republicans want to increase costs by going back to their same old trickle-down economics.

I have a different vision.

Let’s take on special interests to lower costs and give the middle class a fair shot.
