Thank you to the programmer, whoever you are, for creating this simulation. It has some bugs, ends too quickly, but overall is pretty fun. Happy thanksgiving.

A huge thank you to everyone Biochemistry FU Berlin and HZB-MXde involved in the project. It is a privilege to learn from and work with all of you! I will miss you all dearly.

Excited to share my cryo-EM study of human DNA Polymerase Epsilon - mapping interactions with DNA and PCNA, and dissecting how a mismatched base pair is recognised and removed for high fidelity DNA replication! Massive thanks to everyone involved Yeeles Lab MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology

Amazingly—the day after I posted my video exploring their structures of the human replisome—the Yeeles Lab and Jonas put out a BEAUTIFUL paper featuring the autocorrect function inside DNA Polymerase Epsilon. Quick loop of that data: paper here: go.nature.com/4dDjjZd

My favourite discovery ever has just come online. Can I please tell you about some seriously wacky molecular biology? The story starts with a reverse transcriptase that SOMEHOW defends bacteria from viruses. (👇 I recommend sound ON for the video 🎹) 1/

How to sense danger from afar? Revised and refined, our paper on the insights into smell recognition by a mammalian trace-amine receptor from Cryo-EM, modelling and functional studies is finally out! nature.com/articles/s4146…

🚨📣 Excited to share our latest work investigating how the replisome responds to topoisomerase-DNA crosslinks 🧬🔬 cell.com/molecular-cell… Fantastic work from rosewesthorpe and Jonas 🍄🍄🍄🍄

Extremely excited to share this work by Maik Engeholm out in Molecular Cell: Chd1 engages overlapping dinucleosomes, and collaborates with FACT to restore and remodel overlapping dinucleosomes. authors.elsevier.com/sd/article/S10… Patrick Cramer

What a fantastic few days at UK DNA replication 2024 - thanks Biochemical Society for organising such a great meeting. Hope to see you all in Edinburgh in two years time 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Congratulations to Maik Engeholm , Lucas Farnung and everyone involved at Patrick Cramer Lab. Maik was the first person to introduce me in detail to cryo-electron microscopy and image processing in RELION and it was a great experience to learn from him!
