These are not just migrants, they are asylum seekers who have not had their claims processed. They are potentially being deported to a country which is unsafe for asylum seekers but which Parliament has said by law is 'safe'.

And clearly being used for party political purposes

Rishi Sunak won’t rule out hiking the state pension age by almost a decade to fill his £46 billion black hole. Don’t risk it.

Strange how a minister wouldn't take questions at a social care conference last week because of the pre-election period, but the government can brief a statuory inquiry into Birmingham City Council the day before Andy Street is up for election telegraph.co.uk/politics/2024/…

Credit to all the Police officers involved in tackling the sword wielding guy today.

The dramatic pictures of their heroism remind us of the risks all decent coppers face.

We’ve spoken to over 11,000 people just in North East Herts this year. And we’ve knocked on even more doors, litter picked miles, reclaimed footpaths from mud and creeping vegetation and more. Because Labour is active in the community year-round, not just at election time.

After 14 years of the Tories, the country needs change. Working people deserve better.

On Thursday 2 May, vote for the first step towards that change by voting Labour.

Tomorrow voters across Bedfordshire can vote for change. They can vote for a PCC with a mission to reform and improve policing and the local criminal justice system. They can vote for a PCC who will take this important job seriously and professionally. They can vote John Tizard.

Offenders must be held to account for the consequences of their actions through the criminal justice system but we must also address the rights and welfare of victims, to ensure the right advice, help and support in the right place, at the right time.

Do you want to know WHY crime is not going down?
14 yrs of Tory Govt decimated policing (1/2m yrs experience lost, 800 stations closed), the courts (100s gone), the prisons & support services overwhelmed
They also increased poverty & inequality
Victims & communities pay the price

With the PCC election only two days away I have been speaking with residents in many parts of the county. I am hearing the same everywhere. Voters strongly want change of government and PCC. They like my missions for improving policing and the local
criminal justice system.

Labour should win this - IF THEY CAN GET THE VOTE OUT.

Replacing our opportunist Tory PCC who spends more time grand-standing and doing photo-ops than doing the job is essential.
