#OnThisDay in 1872, production began at our Globe Mill in Neenah, WI, the first Kimberly-Clark mill. That same day, John A. Kimberly, one of our founders, made the company’s first sale by selling a stack of paper for a “shinplaster” – a piece of paper currency worth 15 cents.
