K-Staters were called “Aggies” until 1915 when Coach Bender coined the term “Wildcats” due to their fighting spirit. In 1917, Coach Clevenger dubbed his team the “Farmers.” The “Wildcats” name finally stuck when Charles Bachman became coach in 1920. #ThrowbackThursday
