I am lucky I have friends (inc on here) to challenge me & who I learn so much from. It’s easy to call yourself an ally, much harder to do the work of being an ally every day.

I wonder how often rotational junior doctors are recognized/celebrated at trust end of year award nights. Despite forming the bigger portion of the Dr workforce, we are still not appreciated and poorly represented.

And human rights laws don’t only exist in regional instruments. They are reflected in international law.

You might not think these laws matter to or affect you, but you they do. You really want your human rights to be protected, you really, truly do.

Lesson 1: The ECHR is not EU law.
Lesson 2: The Human Rights Act is domestic law, it brings rights home.
Lesson 3: It hasn't been replaced by a British Bill of Rights
Lesson 4: Both the Human Rights Act and the ECHR will remain.
Lesson 5: The UK is bound by human rights laws.
