Only just learned from Composer of the Week
kate molleson that Brahms' motet Geistliches Lied, op. 30, was played at Schumann's funeral. I picked this out for performance at a funeral at St Bride's in the 1990s - sung by the wonderful choir there - I still remember its intensity
