South Tyneside Council bin strike update.

Like many residents across the borough, I am disappointed that South Tyneside Council and the GMB have been unable to come to a resolution for the bin strike.

It is vital this dispute is brought to an end.

A wreath has been laid by my office at Gateshead International Workers Memorial Day service in Saltwell Park today.

Workplace deaths are preventable deaths.

Trade unions fight for a future where no worker must risk their health or life while doing their job.

We must commit to fighting for the health & safety of every worker and against any attack on workers' rights from this Tory Government

I completely back the call to suspend all Post Office executives involved in Horizon Scandal.

We need to see immediate action from this Govt.
