The research shows employees value two distinct types of respect. Owed respect: accorded equally to all members of a group/org, signalled by civility & every member is inherently valuable. Earned respect: recognises individual employees who display valued qualities or behaviors.

Public service announcement: You don't have a moral obligation to finish every book you start.

Stopping doesn't mean you lack grit. It means you have the wisdom to let go of sunk costs.

Reading is for entertainment and education. If it doesn’t bring joy or insight, move on.

An important post here about the very real and practical problems with vague curriculums.

Vagueness is often the political solution to hard problems. But it doesn't solve them - it just creates more problems down the line.

Is using evidence informed practice in schools important...erm YES.

Is choosing the right evidence for your setting and pupils confusing and overwhelming?....erm YES.
