I am urgently seeking clarification on ‘updates to original proposals, our leisure and culture services provider [SLLC] is withdrawing from five libraries not seven’.

The right to strike is fundamental to our society and the advancement of workers rights, pay and conditions.

We must do what we can to stand against the UK Government’s anti trade union legislation and protect the right to strike.

After months of SNP efforts to bring a motion on a ceasefire in Gaza, and following cross-party negotiations, we have secured unanimous support in South Lanarkshire:

☮️ Demanding a ceasefire

❌ Condemning the Israeli Government’s actions

🚑 Calling for UK aid to Palestinians

✅ Despite Tory opposition, our motion on protecting the right to strike has passed.

👷 South Lanarkshire Council employees will not be compelled to break strikes.

The SNP has always stood with the women of the #WASPI Campaign, and this will continue until they receive fair compensation. #WaspiWomen

📣 At a meeting of the Full Council on Wednesday, the SNP will present motions demanding a ceasefire in Gaza and protecting the right to strike in South Lanarkshire.

🐝 I’ve lodged a motion in the Scottish Parliament regarding the #WASPI campaign and the PHSO report.

Although a matter for the UK Government & UK Parliament, the Scottish Parliament should come together standing in support of the 1950s-born women impacted.

Anne, and all other WASPIs, have waited far too long already - the UK Gov needs to sort this now.

I appreciate the work done and announced today by SG, but Clare Haughey MSP should be credited with the determination she has offered to deliver on this specialist remit in Mental Health care and support through her work previously in SG and as a Parliamentarian & RMN👏🏽
