HMP Grampian recently hosted a recruitment event to promote Prison Officer career opportunities locally in the Peterhead community. The event was well attended, and some even signed up for a tour of the prison to get a realistic feel for what could be their future workplace.

The Gender Pay Gap continues to be lower here than in the whole of the UK.

For full-time employees it's 3.7% in Scotland - while the figure for the UK is more than double that at 8.3%.

The Annual Survey of Hours and Earnings from Office for National Statistics (ONS) shows a record 91% of employees aged 18+ earned the Real Living Wage or more in Scotland in 2022.

Higher than the UK as a whole (87.8%) and above any other UK country.

We have the potential to do so much more hydro in Scotland with projects like Coire Glas, Cruachan 2 and Red John which between then would generate 2.5GW. The biggest barrier to taking them forward is the failure of the UKG to provide a hydro scheme route to the market.

A compelling destruction of Labour’s mimicking of Tory anti-immigration policy and a coherent explanation why a change of UK Government will simply mean more of the same broken Westminster control for Scotland. Rejoining the EU as an independent country is Scotland’s alternative.
