#TheNine invited every Scottish Conservative MP to appear on the programme tonight, but nobody was available.

To be absolutely clear for folk in Scotland - there is no 'fix' for this utter shambles. Not some imaginary 'unity' candidate, not Johnson (obvs), not a general election, not a Labour government. Brexit is the cause, and it'll go on, and on, and on - until we're independent.

Not much of a silver lining, given the size of the cloud, but at least we now know that any producer or presenter using guests from IEA is either deliberately promoting their ridiculous, utterly discredited agenda or treating their audience with complete contempt. Or both.

The Tories change gaffer almost as often as Dundee United. Wonder if they’ll give it to Liam Fox too?

The truth is that, just like Johnson before her, every Tory politician knew Truss was not capable of doing the job yet they put her in place anyway, with the misery inflicted on so many lives just collateral damage. Those responsible should be made to answer for their actions.

As the Scots Tories hide under their desks again this morning, a reminder that they have a moral obligation to explain why they have inflicted Liz Truss on Scotland after campaigning on her behalf:

Anyone seen an *elected Scottish Tory today explaining why they are inflicting this embarrassment on the country? Even the usually reliable foghorns have fallen silent.

All the signs were there that Liz Truss was going to be just as disastrous as Boris Johnson yet they still made her leader! The Tories seem to have lost all sense of reality and their chaos is damaging every community and every household.
