I have been to multiple talks this year by smart people who said um/uhhh between every sentence and sometimes even within most sentences. This is a distracting verbal quirk that lessens your effectiveness as a speaker...consider filling pauses with silence.

When you see a video clip online that outrages you, try this before your go ballistic -- search for the clip and look at longer (i.e., unedited) versions of it, which often provide context that completely changes the meaning of what you are seeing.
