The Taoiseach has just confirmed that the Long Covid sick pay scheme for healthcare workers has been extended by 3 months. While welcome, a longer term solution is needed to provide certainty and financial stability to the workers who risked their health to protect others.

In case of confusion, LCAI was invited to attend this hearing. We made a request to speak to the committee back in October & have lobbied for the opportunity since.
We'll do our absolute best to speak up for the #LongCovid patients of #Ireland .

Motion sent to Bernard Gloster by Cork County Council in Oct 2023 asking that he consider his duty-of-care towards healthcare workers with severe Long Covid & meet with a representative group.

His office told me in March they had not received it.

The request is all the more critical now.

Are there any articles on LDN for LC that I could give my GP ? I’m annoyed that despite being rxed you a consultant she no longer wants to rx it. I was so taken aback at the time & feeling exhausted that I didn’t go to battle as I normally would . Long Covid Advocacy Ireland
