just saw The Connection by Shirley Clarke (1961) at London Short Film Festival –– despite being 'filmed theatre', it does a lot to entangle (and disrupt) the filmmaking itself; and it doesn't undo its pathos in the process (junkies, overdosing, sweat, ferocity, Etc) ––
