Today, I saw first-hand some of what the people of Mykolaiv, Ukraine have endured.

Yet despite frequent power cuts, destroyed infrastructure and continued missile strikes, they still hope for a peaceful tomorrow.

🥀Ten years on, the figures remain staggering.

The Missing Migrants Project Project today shows that more than 61,000 people have died during migration over the last decade. The true figure, however, is estimated to be much higher due to challenges in data collection.

Another tragic incident today off the coast of #Zarzis , Tunisia. So far 54 #migrants have been rescued.

Nine people are confirmed dead and one is in a critical condition IOM - UN Migration 🇺🇳 is currently providing emergency assistance.

In every walk of life, these exceptional individuals have excelled through sheer courage and determination.
