Complicity in slavery couldn't be more explicit than when descendants of slave owners not only benefit from the generational wealth created on the back of the trade in humans, but continue to profit directly from its instruments today. #ReparationsNow

L’Oréal insists there isn’t enough evidence to prove that hair relaxers are putting Black women’s lives at risk. But they know that isn’t true and so do we. That’s why we’ve created the ✨ #NoMoreLyes Info Kit ✨

Are you watching Emily Atack's BBC iPlayer doc on nudes and wondering what you can do for your children?
Have a look at our latest blog: breckfoundation.org/post/cyber-fla…
76% of girls aged 12 to 18 have received a nude - it is important to be able to talk to your children and help them!
Don't forget to join us by wearing yellow to stand up against online hate for Safer Internet Day on the 7th of February!
Please government now backing amendments to the #OnlineSafety Bill , to make social media bosses criminally liable for failing to protect children from online harm. This is a very important outcome for children's #OnlineSafety .
Read about it below:

We support Barroness Kidron’s amendment to the #OnlineSafetyBill b’cos when things go horribly wrong as in Molly Russell’s case, it is indefensible that families should struggle to obtain useful information from platforms whose services may have contributed to such tragic events.
The key word is ‘allowed’. It’s a choice to leave tech platforms to ‘self-regulate’ for so long. It’s a choice now to delay the #OnlineSafetyBill even as we see repeatedly from recent cases that the price of delay, to children and young people, can be a matter of life and death.
We, 5Rights Foundation, NSPCC, Catch22, Childnet, SWGfL - Safe, Secure, Online and several others of our coalition partners have sent a letter to Michelle Donelan MP Department for Culture, Media and Sport calling for the #OnlineSafetyBill to return to UK Parliament now. Children's safety must be priority.

This is good news in what is a horrible story of child sexual exploitation and abuse facilitated by an unregulated internet. This story underscores why the #OnlineSafety Bill must be priority for government and all of us.

“The NSPCC has said there will be more than 3,500 online child abuse crimes for every month that the Online Safety Bill is delayed”.

We know that in its current state the #onlinesafetybill would not have saved Breck - who was groomed and murdered by someone he met online.
UK House of Commons bring this Bill forward and reinstate necessary 'legal but harmful' rules.

Molly Russell 'died from an act of self-harm while suffering from depression & the negative effects of online content.’
Children's lives & wellbeing must no longer be a trade off in the pursuit of profits. Read our statement below.

I applaud Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) and the Lucy Faithful Foundation for creating a ‘chatbot’ that is already delivering impressive results. Lots more to do, but this is a great win for the protection of children from online sexual exploitation and abuse.
